A Swedish study published in 2010 strongly suggests a connection between airbourne concentrations of propylene glycol in houses and development of asthma and allergic reactions, such as rhinitis, in children

Glycerol/ Glycerine
Either vegetable sourced or animal sourced
Most high street glycerol is animal sourced because there is an excess from the slaughter industry.

Look for vegetable sourced, kosher.
Be careful if in dry climate or long periods in rooms with dry heat source i.e. central heating (use bowls of water near radiators to allow moisture vapours), if it can’t get enough moisture from the air it will draw it from the skin even the epidermis. Applies to both animal and vegetable source

Silk Protein
It has a strong smell
Gives a silky feeling to the skin – good for skin and hair.
Silk worms are grown in controlled environments until they have produced sufficient silk. They are then gassed before they get a chance to eat the thread, many cosmetic companies use it sourced this way.

Keratin
Mainly for hair care.
Many High Street products use pig hair to extract the keratin for cosmetic and hair industry.

Collagen
Mostly comes from young calves.
French cosmetic industry use aborted foetuses, Chinese often use executed prisoners, some have factory next to the prison, to make it easy to use in products.

Gelatine
Comes straight from the slaughter industry – from boiled bones.

Agar Agar is the vegetarian equivalent.

Linseed Gel - Flax seed
When crushed it releases cyanide
Boiling up for a few minutes releases to make gel (leave overnight with lid on pan)
Very soothing for stomach
NEVER BUY CRUSHED

Coltsfoot Gel
Use leaves only
Gives a mucus gel – good for coughing with liquorice root, excellent expectorant
Could possibly be carcinogenic

Butyl paraben is thought to be the worst of the parabens
We eat so many foods with preservatives in that when we are buried it takes longer for bodies to rot.
