The use of Essential Oils has existed since ancient times. The power, influence and extent of uses of the different oils individually and combined, is almost inexhaustible. They have been used to attract lovers, ward off harm, anger, fear, anxiety, aid mental clarity, warm or cool the body, clear congestion, heal general and very specific conditions.
The essential oils are usually mixed with a base oil and massaged onto the skin where they are readily absorbed, combining with our own chemistry to cause a beneficial reaction and continue in their therapeutic effects long after application. The essential oils may be burned, inhaled, used in baths and foot baths, added to base creams, shampoos, wraps etc to help with a variety of physical, mental and emotional conditions.
The method is to massage the oils into the skin over an area or whole body to encourage absorbtion of the oils, stimulate skin and blood flow and to loosen muscle tissue.
